Successful Assen City Demo: Thousands of Race Fans Enjoy F1 Action

The city center of Assen was the vibrant center of action and speed during the spectacular City Demo. This event, in honor of the 25th anniversary of The Racing Day, brought together thousands of visitors from Assen, the region and tourists to enjoy spectacular demonstrations. The highlight was the demo run of the Oracle Red Bull Racing F1 team, with the legendary David Coulthard behind the wheel, who allowed the crowd to enjoy the roaring sound of Formula 1 in the city center. 

Impressive demonstrations 

From 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, spectators were treated to impressive demonstrations of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, Supercar Challenge, Superkarts, BOSSGP formula cars and various Supersport and Superbike motorcycles. Before the demo, fans could admire the vehicles up close in the temporary paddock on Collardslaan. 

The start of The Racing Day weekend 

The City Demo marked the start of The Racing Day weekend, which takes place at the TT Circuit from 2 to 4 August and celebrates its 25th anniversary. The race weekend promises even more spectacle with numerous races of cars, motorcycles and karts. In addition, there is also a lot to see on the circuit with the necessary demonstrations, including the popular Red Bull Racing F1 demo by David Coulthard, who will delight the audience on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 August with his famous donuts on the Drenthe circuit.

City Demo Assen 

The City Demo Assen was made possible thanks to the collaboration of LDP International, the organization of The Racing Day for 25 years with Ondernemend Assen, Vaart in Assen, Assen Sportstad, Toeristisch Recreatief Platform Assen, Municipality of Assen and the province of Drenthe. The Racing Day means three days of action on the TT Circuit Assen, action that no one wants to miss!
