The Champcar World Series travel to Assen for the first and sole Dutch Champcar Grand Prix following a 2-race deal with Champcar Europe. LDP International acts as a promoter for the Dutch round at Assen.


Marketed as 'the American interpretation of Grand Prix racing' and helped by the stateside success of Dutchman Robert Doornbos earlier in the season, the Dutch Champcar Grand Prix draws over 60.000 visitors. The race is won by the late Justin Wilson.
